Creating tables in Jira issues can be a pain. Especially if you're on Jira Server / Data Center and still have to use the old Jira Markup, where tables have to be created with syntac like this ||table heading 1||table heading 2|| etc.

Luckily, Tables in Simple Team Pages leverage a nice table editor that Atlassian created to make creating and managing tables really easy.

Newly inserted tables always start out with 3 columns and 3 rows.

As you can see, tables have the option of having a header row (shown above), header columnn, and/or numbered columns.

Rows and columns can be selected, which allows easy deletion of rows, and columns.

Cells support additional options, and can also be given a background color.

Inserting rows or columns, as well as resizing columns is easy using provided actions and drag & drop.

NOTE:

It is not possible to create nested tables, or to place a Layout inside of a table.
